During 1987 - 1990 she pursued the Diploma in Pharmacy at the University of Technology, Jamaica (formerly C.A.S.T.).

She underwent her internship training at the University Hospital of the West Indies and the Spanish Town Hospital.

The first seven years of her profession was spent as a retail pharmacist in St.Catherine and Kingston. Prior to joining Health Corporation Limited she provided invaluable service as a part-time pharmacist at the company's Drug Serv Pharmacy located at Greater Portmore Health Centre.

Mrs. Martin started her tenure at Health Corporation Limited as the Warehouse Inventory Manager in September 1999 and was subsequently promoted to Warehouse Manager in January 2000.

She is a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Jamaica and is presently pursuing the post Diploma Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy at the University of Technology, Jamaica.
